Sitting by the roof top pool in Stockholm, sweden

So after a long day of working I decided to treat myself to a good workout and some sun by the roof top pool. It is a heated pool that is on top of the hotel I am staying at eight stories in the air. It has a great view as well as plenty of places to sit and drink some champagne or lay back and rest. I chose to work out first, also eight stories in the air with plenty of windows to watch the city from. I wish I could post more than one image in this email upload function but I can't so I will post multiple times.

The meetings were very long but very productive and with everything going on at home it is sort of an escape to be here (albeit work related.) Coming out to these meetings really allows me to understand what the regional teams are going through and helps me do my job better. It looks like I will be making these Europe trips at least once a quarter.

The city here is very nice, we went downtown last night to a 100 year old restaurant. The food was good! I tried their traditional meal, herring. I also had snappes with it which is a very strong alcohol. The history behind this is quite cool. Long time ago before fridges herring was eaten raw, as it is today, but it was hard to keep it fresh and cold. So to be safe when they would eat the herring they would chase each bite with a strong drink of alcohol, Snappes. This way the chances of bacteria getting to them was greatly reduced. Can you believe that!? I guess when the main source of food was this they did what they could to not let it go to waste. Also in downtown it was very cool to see the local culture, it was similar to other european cities but with a swedish flare. We happened to run in to an Iron Maden concert getting out when we left dinner which was very interesting. Punk rockers, hard metal rockers, and hair bangers all around, european style. So a bit hard core, tight pants, jean and leather jackets, and long yet spiky hair. A fun walk home. I hope to check it out again tonight.

Well I am going to lay back for a few and perhaps jump in the pool.
